Carrie Sackett is a co-leader of Uncomfortable Independent Conversations. Drawing on 25 years of experience as an independent political organizer, Carrie has led groundbreaking efforts in bringing people together—across race, class, ideology and ethnicity—to create new political, social and emotional cultures of community-building. She is nationally recognized for her leadership in creating sustainable and innovative social justice initiatives.

As founder and Managing Director of ZPD Coaching, Carrie give clients powerful tools for growth in their life, career and relationships by utilizing the performance-based approach, social therapeutics. She works with individuals and couples and leads groups comprised of people from all walks of life and multiple time zones.

An Associate of the East Side Institute, Carrie received her M.S. in Strategic Communications from Columbia University and B.A. cum laude from Duke University. She received the prestigious IABC Gold Quill award for employee engagement, and has presented at the World Bank, Performing the World, Journal of Financial Advertising and Marketing, and numerous corporate and nonprofit events across Europe and the U.S.
