Mia Anderson

Performance Director

Mia is a native New Yorker who is an actor/ writer/ director. Cast in several award winning films including "Production," "If I Leap," and "Sleep," she recently wrapped a feature film, "The Widowers," for Charred Oak Films. She is a member of the Off-Broadway Rising Sun Performance Company, where she was a contributing writer to the collaborative play in development, "Henry's Wives," in addition to directing several pieces. Since returning to New York in 2006, Mia has directed five staged readings and five one-act productions. In her most recent project for The Culture Project’s Impact Festival, "War on Women," she directed a one act play, which was written and performed within 24 hours.

Mia is known for her spontaneous and creative directing process. Adept at working with experienced and inexperienced performers, she creates in the moment to support everyone in bringing their own level of creativity while establishing goals for exploration and consistent growth. Along with her extensive education and experience in theater, Mia is trained in business administration.
